Re: 42-2 District Court Session @ Anchor Bay Middle School North

On 4-17-07 the 42-2 District Court will be in session at Anchor Bay Middle School North in New Baltimore. The court will be in session from 9am until 12:00 noon in the school gymnasium. Judge Cassidy’s docket will include drug offenses, alcohol violations, MDOP cases, various larcenies and other related criminal cases. Anchor Bay High School students will be transported to Middle School North, as observers, to participate during the court session along with middle school students.

The students that are participating will be using the court experience to enhance district curriculum in subjects such as civics, government, health, and social studies. Judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, law enforcement officers, and court staff will be available for students to observe and interact with during the court session; this will provide a unique learning experience for each of the students. Additional seating will be provided for any members of the public that wish to attend.
